Mobilise RM Hygiene and Infection-Control Policy
With the justifiable fears around COVID-19, we would like to inform all our patients of our current hygiene and infection-control safety practices, and extra measures we will be taking to ensure our patients and therapists are as safe as possible when receiving treatment at Mobilise.
Our current hygiene measures include single use linen for every patient – all our sheets, pillowcases and towels are used only once for each person, and then commercially laundered. Our therapists wash and sanitise their hands/arms before and after every treatment, and all contact surfaces (including the treatment table, desk, Hicaps machine etc) are cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant between every appointment. The disposable face-pads are also hospital grade, single use for each patient. We use disposable gloves and alcohol wipes for dry-needling treatments at all times, and our acupuncture needles are single use and disposed of safely.
These measures have been in place at Mobilise for many years, and have kept our patients and our therapists safe through yearly flu seasons extremely well. However, due to the serious nature of the COVID-19, we are also taking the following further precautions:
- We are asking any patient feeling unwell, having returned recently from overseas or under government directed quarantine to let us know and postpone their appointment. If you do show signs of infection when you arrive, we will request a postponement of your treatment on the spot.
- We have never charged a cancellation fee, and so please be assured that you can cancel or reschedule your appointment at any time with no repercussions.
- We may use face masks and/or gloves to reduce risk to either our patients or ourselves if needed during treatments.
We are following Australian Government and Queensland Health guidelines closely, and will act in accordance with their directives.
For current patients requiring advice or rehabilitation plan changes and we are unable to see you, we will stay in touch via phone and email, to ensure you are supported in your recovery.
For more information, or if you’d like to talk to Eve or myself, please feel free to give us a call at the clinic on 0473 090 442 anytime.
